Charm City, the feature doc that Bernier is currently editing, has been selected as a grantee for the IDA's inaugural Enterprise Documentary Fund. This grant awards films taking on in-depth explorations of original, contemporary stories and integrating journalistic practice into the filmmaking process. Charm City is being directed by Marilyn Ness.
An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power has been nominated in three categories for the 2nd Annual Critics' Choice Documentary Awards: Best Political Documentary, Best Original Song, and Most Compelling Subject (Al Gore)!
An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power had its theatrical premiere this week in New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. Paramount will release the film in select theaters on July 28th and wide on August 4th. Early reviews are positive: AP News, Nature, Think Progress, LA Times, and Critic's Pick in the New York Times.
Charm City, Don's current edit project, was one of eight documentaries in progress selected to attend the 2017 Sundance Documentary Edit & Story Labs in Provo, UT. Directed by Marilyn Ness and produced by Katy Chevigny, Charm City is a Big Mouth Productions film.
