Audrie & Daisy will have a few more festival screenings before its official release on Netflix this Fall. Check it out on the big screen at the following stops this summer: AFI Docs in DC, SF Jewish Film Festival, and Michael Moore's Traverse City Film Festival.
This spring, Audrie & Daisy continues its festival tour before its roll-out on Netflix. The inaugural DOC10 in Chicago screens the film on April 3; Full Frame Documentary Film Festival screens the film on April 9; HotDocs Int'l Film Festival's schedule can be found here; and the San Francisco Int'l Film Festival will host the film's west coast premiere. Netflix has acquired Audrie & Daisy from Sundance! "We are inspired by the incredible filmmaking process and storytelling, as well as the great care and integrity Bonni and Jon brought to Audrie's and Daisy's stories," said Lisa Nishimura, Netflix Vice President of Original Documentary Programming, in an official statement. "This is an important film for boys, girls and their families as a tool to address the complex terrain that teenagers around the world must navigate as they come of age." Look for it later this year!
The latest film Bernier edited, Audrie & Daisy, premiered to several sold out screenings at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival.
Audrie & Daisy, Bernier's current edit project, was selected as a 2015 Gucci Tribeca Documentary Fund Grantee. The film is co-directed by Bonni Cohen and Jon Shenk. Read the press release here.
